Ok so you want to build a Rain Gutter Grow System! Here is what you will need! 2 10 ft treated 2x4's 1 10 ft rain gutter and 2 end caps.I prefer the U snap brand www.menards.com because you can use standard pvc cement to glue on the ends. You will need 3 inch net cups www.hydroponics.net they are cheap! Drill a 2/78 inch hole in your container that you are going to plant in and the 3 inch net cup fits perfectly. Also you'll need some pole barn roofing screws because they have a water tight seal on them. also a mini float valve to regulate water www.usplastic.com I use the one with the male 1/2 inch threads and buy a 1/2 threaded garden hose adapter to connect to it. You also can get the 3/8 barbed version and some 3/8 plastic hose and daisy chain a bunch together.You can use any good potting mix to grow your veggies in Not potting soil! Miracle grow potting mix works great or you can mix your own by using 2/3rds peat moss and 1/3 well rotted manure or compost and a couple of good handfuls of perlite! It lightens the soil. I also add about a cup of garden lime or dolomite, I also throw in a handful of Epsom salts. A standard batch I will make would be 2 5 gallon buckets of peat 1 bucket of compost or well rotted manure 1 cup garden lime and a handful Epsom salts. I found an interesting timekeeping IC and battery device on an APC SmartSlot 9606 management card...now let me tell you all about it! In all seriousness, I thought the idea behind its design was interesting. It would definitely make retrofitting an external battery easy as compared to reworking a Dallas Semiconductor DS1287, 1387 or related module. The APC SmartUPS 2200 in this video has a working inverter, but it appeared to have ruined its current set of batteries, wouldn't charge a new set in a timely fashion and also would not calibrate itself. (And yes, I tried every trick in the book to make it do so before giving up.) I was told to make it and the Tripp-Lite disappear, so I put the old batteries back in the APC and hauled them both off. If I fix it, I might splurge on the proper replacement battery kit or just build something like an external battery cart for it. Actually, the cart doesn't sound like a bad idea given how impressively heavy the fully loaded UPS really is. (You really could, to put it somewhat crudely, "drop a nut" lifting one of these. They weigh over 120 pounds fully loaded!) Big UPS units like these can be very useful. Their inverters are often tougher and will stand extended operation better than small, cheap units will. Note the red Anderson "Powerpole" external battery connector on the Tripp-Lite unit. (However, loading a Smart UPS 2200 up to near-maximum capacity is something I would not recommend. You can arrange the system evenly throughout your garden with three to four sprinkler heads placed proportionately throughout the garden.

One popular type of sprinkler head for the garden irrigation system is called a rain bird. These are very popular and very common. However, if your system is designed to water only certain portions of the garden, there is another type of system called a drip irrigation system. This form of irrigation runs water only to the specific plants that you designate. You will need to have a strong water supply in order to run this type of irrigation system. The nozzle of this type of system is about as big around as a pencil, which is just enough to get the right amount of water to each plant in the system.

Either of these systems are much easier than manually bringing water to your plants like in days gone by. It is much more convenient and doesn't waste as much water as the watering can method.

There are also other means of watering your garden, such as installing water rows, which are simply hoses that are buried within each row of your garden that carry water unnoticed to each of your plants. This type of watering method is great because the roots of the plants obtain the water first, helping them to grow wide and strong. Wider roots can help make your plants much more stable, thus leading to a much better crop. Whatever type of garden irrigation system you choose, you will be happy with the results and the lesser amount of work that you have to do. You can now rest and enjoy your garden.

There are multiple ways to clean a spa filter and all are effective, however you will get different results with each method. Right off the bat I'll begin by saying what not to use.

Do not clean your spa filters with:
Laundry Detergent
Car Wash
Hand Spa
Dish washing Soap
Or Any bubbly soap for that matter.

These methods will clean but not sanitize, plus if you don't rinse them off good enough it will turn your spa into a bubble bath and you wouldn't want that mess.

I would recommend using any of the following methods for cleaning your hot tub filters.

Spa Filter Cleaner
This is a simple degreaser that you can find at most pool and spa stores. It can be used it two ways. You can dilute it with water and soak your filters overnight. Or if you want to make it a bit quicker you can put some in a spray bottle and generously spray down your spa filters and let them sit for about 15 minutes or so and hose them down with water.
Note: Make sure you hose them down extremely well, degreaser can cause bubbles and bubbles means a ton of foam in your tub.

Muratic Acid
This is the old fashioned way of cleaning spa filters. Simply dilute some muratic acid with water and soak your spa filters overnight. You can find muratic acid at your local pool and spa store.
Note: Muratic acid is ACID! It burns like crazy so be sure to use gloves if you are going to use this method.

Chlorine
Yep, simply mix some chlorine and water together and soak your spa filters in the solution. This will clean and sanitize your spa filters and it's inexpensive especially if you use chlorine in your hot tub already.
